Apologies for the late post regarding the fair this weekend. There will be an amazing selection of artists and designers working in print selling their work. With a cafe on site and live print demonstrations it's going to be a great day.

I was recently asked to produce a commission of a Kookaburra, a lovely Australian Kingfisher.. I usually only work with images of British birds so this was a nice change.
I'm currently working on some new ideas for the Holmfirth Art Market so make sure you pop down on Sunday 30th June to see if there are any more surprise birds on my stand!
You can read my interview for the art market blog here

Wading birds striding across coloured canvas backgrounds... where are they off to?
Well they've already been to an exhibition in the railway station, just deciding where they will wade off to next!

So it's that time of year again....Spring! and marked beautifully by the arrival of my favourite bird. Yep the Swallows have arrived and not one did I see this morning, but forty or fifty darting over head as I drove in to the studio.
Yet again, as it does every year my spirits are raised by these miraculous small speedy birds. Beautiful!
Here's a lovely fabric design by lulu & luca to celebrate....
Oh and I must point out Swallows, you're two weeks later than last year!

Some ideas I'm working on for a new stationery collection for Spring 2013... as Spring doesn't seem to be on its way I think I've got a bit more time to get these up to scratch :-)
PS. If anyone knows where that turn of phrase comes from I'd be very interested to know....
