Fun in the studio

So I finally got around to doing some lino-cuts and printing in the studio this week. It's so much fun and the possibilities for different prints and colour ways seems endless. I really like the process of creating repeat patterns from one small lino-cut and of course I couldn't quite manage a series without a bird sneaking it's way in!

'Peaks and Troughs' A Yorkshire cycling print

The Grand Depart of the Tour de France is fast approaching in Yorkshire and the festive atmosphere is gaining momentum. I've never seen so much bunting in my hometown of Holmfirth, it is a sea of red spots and yellow bikes.

Away from the bright colours of the bikes and the bunting I decided to produce a slightly calmer and more typical Yorkshire cycling scene with my 'Peaks and Troughs' giclee print.
